- Stand Out in Your Job Search

Some time ago, I worked with my first client, visibly worn down from the job search grind. She had sent out dozens of applications, rewritten her resume six different ways, and still hadn’t gotten a single interview.

“I feel invisible,” she said.

That line stuck with me. Does it resonate with you? Have you heard it from a friend?

Because I’ve heard it a lot from highly qualified people, across industries and roles. The common thread? They aren't being seen for what they could truly do.

And here’s the truth: it’s not about your potential...it’s about your positioning.

I have found myself helping a ton of really smart people land their next role.

I don’t just help you answer “Tell me about yourself.”

I help you own your story.

We dive into your career wins, pull out your real results (not just your responsibilities), and shape that narrative so you don’t just sound confident, you are confident.

Because when you know your value, you walk into interviews differently.

You ask better questions.

You show up with clarity, not desperation.

But there’s another piece of the puzzle I’ve been obsessed with lately. How resumes are read (or filtered out) before they ever reach a real person.

My recent podcast conversation with talent strategist Joel Schwan was packed with insights about Applicant Tracking Systems, keywords, and how AI is changing resume reviews...for better and worse.

Here’s what stuck with me most:

If everyone’s using AI to write their resume, they all start sounding the same. What stands out now is clarity, not cleverness.

So I’ve been building a new tool. I'm not sure what to call it just yet but it a FREE resume optimization report that analyzes your resume against job descriptions for your role and provides specific feedback:

  • Keywords you already have
  • Keywords you’re missing
  • Suggestions to increase your match score without sounding robotic

It’s smart. It’s simple. And it’s built for job seekers who want to be seen for the right reasons.

Want to Try It First?

I’m looking for a few volunteers to help test this tool out before I release it broadly.

If you’re actively job-seeking or just curious about how your resume stacks up, I’ll get you on the testing list. Just reply to this email.

Let’s take some of the guesswork (and the ghosting) out of your job search.

You deserve to be seen.

And I’m here to help make sure you are.

I’ve worked with leaders long enough to know that most challenges don’t begin in the meeting room. As a leader for the last 20 years, my challenges formed in my mind. That truth hit home during our latest LEADERish: Leadership lessons straight up episode with my friend and fellow coach, Gayathri Rhiddi, who spoke about conscious leadership. Her model, the SIRE Model, is elegant and practical, but what stayed with me wasn’t the framework itself (although it is absolutely brilliant!). It was...

Hey Reader, It started with a conversation with a busy executive who was juggling more priorities than one person reasonably should. Every request felt urgent. Some were important, but many were just noise. Together, we built a simple way to quiet that noise. We called it Five 4 Five. Here’s how it works: Take five minutes each morning to name the five things that matter most that day. Not the twenty-five that could matter, just the five that truly move the needle. That’s it. Wildly...

Hey Reader, I asked my team for honest feedback about how I was leading. I expected a few comments about workload or priorities. Instead, I got something that stopped me cold: “We’re not always sure what done looks like.” At first, I wanted to explain myself. I thought I had been clear. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized they were right. I was giving direction without painting the full picture. The team was left filling in the gaps, which created confusion and wasted effort. That...
